A weekend in Kermit!

My girlfriend and I recently planned a trip to the South Coast, intending to spend a long weekend in the country and stay at a few B&Bs along the way. On a whim (and because we were celebrating) we decided to look into hiring a VW Campervan, which is how we came across Ian and VW Kampers..................

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We ended up hiring Kermit (a gorgeous bright green retro-style camper) for 3 nights - and it was awesome! Bit nerve-wracking driving it to start with, but before long we were cruising along in the sunshine, Beach Boys blaring out the window, attracting envious smiles (children often pointed with open mouths!) and friendly waves from other VW campervanners!

 

Had everything we could have hoped for - gas hob, fridge, comfy fold out bed and a rising top so there was plenty of room to stand up in the back. Can't deny we felt a little superior pitching up next to caravans and tents!

 

Was a bit heartbreaking handing it back at the end though, and getting back in my beaten up old corsa...

 

Would thoroughly recommend the experience to anyone. Kermit was immaculate, and was clearly a top-end campervan. Ian was really friendly, even helping us plan our route - the whole thing was utterly painless, thoroughly enjoyable and loads of fun.
